With not much happening Jacqui and myself decided on a short drive down to Worlaby probably 1 of our last visits before the farmer destroys the habitat forever.
The aim was to get Jacqui a Short-eared Owl perched close has she had only seen them in flight or distant views.
The weather wasn't exactly on our side with it being overcast but never the less our idea paid off, with us being the only people there for a while until Dave Newby turned up.
This little male Stonechat made a nice addition to my yearlist

Humber Bridge Country Park 14-3-13
After a good day yesterday photographing woodland birds,Jacqui and myself decided to carry on the same theme for today with Bullfinch being the main target species. On route we picked up Mandy and arrived 5 minutes after a short drive.
We put out seed and within seconds Blue and Great tit were flocking in followed shortly by a pair of Bullfinch,we spent most of the day here enjoying the sun.
Plenty of photo's below from today

Bradley Wood 13-3-13
With this sun blazing morning and brilliant light for photography we decided on going somewhere new and spending some time at Bradley Wood about a 40 minute drive picking Mandy up on the way,we reached our destination bathed in glorious sun which makes a change.
Within minutes Nuthatch,Treecreeper and the usual woodland birds were around us on posts that had seed already put out on them after 5-10 minutes our friend Anthony Bentley turned up after Treecreeper shots, but anything that presented itself was fine by me.
Later on a chap turned up and threw out some hot cross buns on the ground which the Long-tailed tits loved,as time passes hunger set in Jacqui and myself went off for the chippy which we ended up in Cleethorpes and returned back to a frozen Mandy who insisted she would be fine staying with the birds.
While we sat in Fred watching a female Great-spotted Woodpecker came down and flew off with half of a Hot cross bun that had been put out earlier, she didn't want to share with anyone else.
A good day out and made a nice change with the weather even though it was still a case of cold feet being stood around.

Great-northern Diver (Far Ings) 12-3-13
With Jacqui noticing that Steve Routledge had found a Juv Great-northern Diver on Hotel Pit her words were are we going for it,shes as bad as me (twitcher Jacqui).
So off we set in fred our trusted car and arrived within 5 minutes, just as we reached Hotel pit hide we could see it fairly close in,so we stopped to grab a few record shots of this patch tick.
The cold weather didn't see us hang around for long with the added snow showers, but we did return back in the afternoon, until some noisy git and his ever coughing wife with a camcorder turned up and I called it a day as it wouldn't leave the far side of the pit.
This brings my patch list to a total of 137 Species
