Toft Newton Reservoir 19-9-12

With Anthony Bentley asking me if I wanted to go for the Pectoral Sandpiper at Toft Newton,I jumped at the chance of a real show off of a County and year tick with arrangements made for setting off at 9am.
On arriving Darren Chapman was already on site we both got down to getting some shots of this real show off bird with it spending a lot of time around our feet, after a good while and the wind being cold Anthony and myself decided on going and getting a welcomed coffee on reaching the car park good friend Dave Hutton had arrived and pointed him in the right direction.
After a coffee and a ciggy or 2 we headed back for some more shots not without stopping first for some of the more flighty Juvenile Ringed Plover after a while Dean Eades and his farther arrived and I think once the banter started the photography came to a stand still more or less, but a great day and good to catch up with everyone.
With 5-6 Common Buzzard and Yellow Wagtail also being noted
