Far Ings 21-3-13

With sunny spells we decided on taking a walk along the Humber Bank up to Far Ings to see what we could find, not much about but was hoping for a Chiffchaff but no luck.
With a walk around the reserve and headed for ness hide to shelter from the cold easterly wind,we spent a couple of hours here just to see what would come in and joined by Gordon Bowes.
With the cold getting colder we headed off home a few shots below from the day

Worlaby Carrs 18-3-13

With not much happening Jacqui and myself decided on a short drive down to Worlaby probably 1 of our last visits before the farmer destroys the habitat forever.
The aim was to get Jacqui a Short-eared Owl perched close has she had only seen them in flight or distant views.
The weather wasn't exactly on our side with it being overcast but never the less our idea paid off, with us being the only people there for a while until Dave Newby turned up.

This little male Stonechat made a nice addition to my yearlist

Humber Bridge Country Park 14-3-13

After a good day yesterday photographing woodland birds,Jacqui and myself decided to carry on the same theme for today with Bullfinch being the main target species. On route we picked up Mandy and arrived 5 minutes after a short drive.
We put out seed and within seconds Blue and Great tit were flocking in followed shortly by a pair of Bullfinch,we spent most of the day here enjoying the sun.
Plenty of photo's below from today
